Thanksgiving weekend is usually the busiest time for shoppers and retail outlets.
But for Luther Tanley, the weekend isn’t spent shopping for holiday gifts for the kids or watching football. Tanley spends it outside, usually pulling 10-plus hour days — on other people’s rooftops.
As owner of Lumenate Brentwood, a two-year-old holiday lighting company based in Williamson County, he knows most people want lights on their house as soon as Thanksgiving is over, so the weekend is one of his busiest of the holiday season.
“Everybody wants their lights up the day after Thanksgiving,” Tanley said as he stood outside a home on Seward Road in Brentwood.
